“ Amazing food, fast service and beautiful views of the reservoir. This restaurant is definitely serving southern comfort, while feeling at home. ”
“ It's been several years since we came to cotw. The food was excellent and so was the service. If you haven't been in a while, it's worth a visit. Fish, slaw, fries and onions were our favorites. And there's something retro cool about drinking water out of a tin cup. ”
“ Been coming to Cock of the Walk for 30+ years. Consistently good food and service. The only thing keeping them from is the pricing. It's up to $20 now for the keelboat. With most of the meal consisting of fries, hush puppies, cornbread, etc. the value isn't what it used to be. However, they are entitled to charge what the market will bear, and I will be back, so... ”
“ Service - everyone is nice and friendly. Food - we ordered the fried catfish which is cooked perfectly. Price - they charge an additional 3% if you use credit card. I think it's just another profit making excuse that I took away 1 star from my review. Ambiance - rusty with nice view of the Bennett Reservoir. Like the tin plate and mug. ”
“ Such a fun environment right on the water! The menu is so simple: chicken or fish- but WOW, so good! Take time to read the history outlined on the menu which explains the name of the restaurant (I won't give it away). We ordered 3 combination "keelboat"s along with an appetizer for our party of 6 and still had box of leftovers. Delicious onion rings, fried pickles, pickled onions, slaw, hush puppies, fries, cornbread, fried catfish!! I'm a sweet tea snob, but this "super duper sweet" tea was great- also comes in super duper unsweet or a combination of the two. Our waitress flipped the cornbread from the cast iron skillet up in the air and caught it with the skillet right in front of us! Highly recommend eating here! ”
